1966 Corvette L72 Roadster

Factory original color combination of Rally Red over a Red interior with a white soft top and red auxiliary hard top. Number matching 427/425hp IP suffix code vin number matching engine with transistor ignition. M21 4 speed manual transmission, factory side pipe exhaust, tinted glass, am/fm radio, white wall tires and 373 positraction rear axle (not original). I have owned this car approximately 8 years and it is has a clean Florida title in my name. It was previously from the state of Missouri before.

Over the course of my ownership the car has been stripped and repainted in PPG base coat/clear coat about 7 years ago. A new Al Knock convertible top was installed. The original engine was rebuilt and the rotating system was balanced as well as rings and bearings and hardened valve seats. All of the engine components were checked out to be date code correct to the block. The cooling system was gone through and a Harrison “small block” coolant recovery tank was added as well as a hidden electric cooling fan which together keep this car cool on hot Florida summer days in traffic. The brakes have stainless sleeved calipers and lines. The engine starts with one pump to the accelerator and idles up nicely. The close ratio transmission shifts easily and is quiet when driving. The 4 wheel disc manual brakes work so well I never thought to ad a power booster. Overall this is one of the best C2 corvettes I have owned in my 46 years of being a Corvette guy. The body and frame are 100% rust free and show no signs of previous damage with exceptional body lines and gaps. The car retains all of its original date code correct glass. The interior is mostly original but I did replace the carpet. The car shows 78000 miles and the title reads actual miles.
