I”m an ASE master tech and corvair nut. Bought this car on Ebay because it was 3 miles away. I had it towed to my buddy’s garage less than a mile from the seller. Now he needs the space and I don’t have the time or money to do the car justice.
I went over this car with a magnet before bidding. THIS IS A NO RUST BARN FIND! It has been sitting for years in a dry place. The rocker panels, bottom of the windshield, and inside the door jams by the hinges are all solid. No rust on the bottom of any fenders. I tested the floors to see if they were soft, no flexing. Interior is original with no tears. The engine is a 140 HP, but has single carb heads on it. Engine cranks over and has compression. Car has a 4 speed trans and a posi diff.
Car comes with a newer set of radial tires and 2 prong hub caps. It looks like the right fender and the front have been replaced. There are welds in the trunk, but nothing visible on the outside.
