Pop the hood on this car and you will find a 289 V8 that is arguably the most desirable motor to have in an early Mustang nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It is topped by a chrome air filter assembly and there are finned aluminum valve covers. The engine iron is painted Ford Blue while red spark plug wires and distributor cap looks like they were color coordinated for the car and fresh belts and hoses and radiator keep things turning and running cool. Power flows back through a three-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels mounted on leaf springs while coil springs and power steering handle things at the front. The rubber meets the road through 205/70R14 tires mounted on polished steel wheels with Mustang center caps.
