The 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata 3rd Generation Limited is a stunning convertible with a sleek black interior and a vibrant red exterior. This manual transmission vehicle boasts a 2.0L Gas I4 engine, making it a powerful and fun drive. With only 37,500 miles on the odometer, this limited edition model is sure to provide a smooth and exhilarating driving experience for its new owner. This pristine Japanese-made car is a perfect choice for any automotive enthusiast looking for a high-quality 2-seater convertible.
This car has minor mods to slightly improve engine torque and HP, to slightly increase quantity and quality of the engine noise, and to make it handle better/flatter. These mods include Good-win Racing Roadstersport Catted header and Roadstersport Q exhaust, Racing Beat adjustable sway bars front and rear, and Progress Technologies springs. The car sits slightly lower (eliminating the famous “SUV” ride hight), and corners flatter with less squat and dive. The springs are progressive so ride comfort isn’t compromised, the car just doesn’t roll nearly as much, making the steering feel more responsive. The car was tuned at National Speed to take advantage of the better exhaust flow (factory header known to pinch down prior to cat). The car has virtually new (under 200 miles I believe) summer tires (Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02s) which were installed because the Michelin Super Sports were getting too old. Red Line synthetic fluid in the differential and Ford Motorcraft synthetic manual transmission fluid in the transmission.
There is virtually no wear on the interior surfaces, including the steering wheel, shifter, or seats. No cracks anywhere, nobody has smoked or eaten in it. Ever. I’ve owned it since buying it off the showroom floor (literally) and so know these things.
The car is almost 20 years old, so there are a few small rock chips, a not very well filled in gash in front bumper cover (maybe 2 inches long, just to the left of the Mazda emblem visible if you look closely enough in picture), some tiny barely perceptible pits in windshield (it was replaced at some point due to small crack), the rear bumper cover was replaced/repainted due to SUV imprinting it’s license plate on it (very minor accident you won’t find on any CarFax type report, just minor cosmetic damage professionally repaired) and the plastic cover for the driver’s side male convertible tab is currently off. I have it somewhere and may put it back on. I took it off to tighten the bolt due to rattle and unless you are looking for it, you won’t notice it’s not there. It’s there for cosmetic purposes and doesn’t affect the operation of the convertible top in anyway. The cloth top has no issues at all as per pictures. The battery probably needs to be replaced but started the car this morning. Over the years, the CEL illuminated due to loose fuel cap and engine too slow to warm up. Nothing that affected the safety or performance of the car. Car has never been tracked. That’s about all I can think of. I have a clean NC title, there have never been any liens on the car. I am only selling because I can’t justify 3 cars and only have a two car garage. The Miata has always been garaged, with a 2024 vehicle relegated to the driveway.
