stunning 1940 Cadillac Series 62 2-Door Convertible. The Series 62 Cadillac was offered from 1940-1942. It sports a Fisher made body and has low sleek “Torpedo” like styling. It was offered as a club coupe or sedan with the 2 and 4 door convertible models becoming available mid year in 1940. It shared a similar grille to the outgoing 1939 Series 61, but the grille veins were thicker and fewer in number. 5,903 Series 62s were sold in 1940 and very few of them were the 2-door convertible version being offered for sale here. This series 62 has undergone a ground up, high level, restoration. It is a California car with a 3-speed column shift, and a modern AC unit. It’s powered by it’s fully rebuilt original flathead V8 engine. It features many trim upgrades and a power convertible top. This Caddy is extremely clean inside and out. Excellent mechanical condition, and even better cosmetic condition. A true collectors car that turns heads everywhere it goes and will only continue to appreciate over the years. This is an incredibly original, ZERO RUST, example. Straight and true inside and out! The motor is strong, the transmission shifts excellent, and all the instrumentation works, as it should, with the exception of the water temp gauge and the gas gauge. Aftermarket gauges have been fitted
