Defrost, Numbers Matching, AM/FM Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Removable Hard Top, Heat, Vinyl Interior, Four Wheel Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Seatbelts That’s the original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 engine under the forward-tilting hood and it runs superbly. There’s a chrome air cleaner up top and some fresh Chevy Orange paint, so the engine bay looks tidy and well-kept, and a few recent parts mean that it’s ready to enjoy. It has not been modified, either, so there’s a Quadra-Jet carburetor and factory intake manifold up top and the cam inside means that this ‘Vette idles almost as smoothly as a Cadillac. Talk about Jekyll and Hyde! Clutch take-up is light and the car pulls with plenty of torque, so it’s easy to drive around town and out on the open road it’s just a joy to row it through the gears. There’s a correct dual exhaust system that was installed not too long ago, and the sound is just about right: not too loud but aggressive enough to suit a Corvette. The frame and underbody are original and in good order and the sucker really does drive well. Bright chrome Rally wheels look great and have been fitted with fat 225/70/15 Goodyear radials that are just about the right fit for the fenders.
