very beautiful 1966 red convertible Mustang.  When I found this car last summer in a south Georgia barn, it was a very solid and original example.  I have owned and restored dozens of classic cars, mostly mustangs over the last 30 years, and just had to have it.   This car is an original red on red, white top car, which has been treated to a street driven restoration.  From the documentation it appears to have always been a southern car,(Florida, Georgia, Tennessee) with an Atlanta DSO.   The odometer shows just under 76k, but I have no documentation to show this to be original.  However, when you look at the picture of the bottom showing the original red oxide primer, you can tell that it is a low use car,   The paint finish and body fit is near flawless.  Mechanically I have replaced virtually every wear item.  (motor mounts, shocks, wiring harnesses, hoses, starter, alternator, and exhaust system).   My philosophy is to build to enjoy it and not cut corners to save a few bucks.   At some point someone upgraded the brakes to power discs. The automatic transmission shifts flawlessly and overall the car drives as it should with no unusual noises or vibrations.  The engine appears to be the original and does not smoke or run hot. I did upgrade the radiator to a three row unit.  The power steering and upgraded disc brakes makes this a very easy and safe classic to drive and enjoy.  And who would argue with the color combination.
