The engine bay looks honest and nicely maintained (including a new alternator), but it also holds a secret. The motor for these cars was a 413 cubic-inch V8. That’s a pretty powerful big block, but this one has even more Mopar movement thanks to an upgrade to a 440ci powerplant with four-barrel carburetor. This really helps to further the 300K’s mission of being a performance car for the luxury set. On the road the extra wallop of power is handled gracefully by the three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. There’s even modern Goodyear tires nicely disguised with classic wire wheel covers.
